Angular, developed by Google, was first released in 2010 as AngularJS. In 2016, the framework was completely rewritten and rebranded as Angular, dropping “JS” to differentiate it from the original. Angular (often referred to as “Angular 2+” or “Angular v2 and above”) is a TypeScript-based, open-source front-end framework maintained by the Angular Team at Google, along with a community of contributors. This newer version represents a significant evolution from AngularJS, offering a more modern and scalable solution for web application development.
